Encompassing mastery in almost every facet of its design, Metaphor: ReFantazio is a near flawless JRPG experience that shouldn't be missed. A ridiculously addictive gameplay loop that's overflowing with depth, visuals and sound that are some of the most epic you'll experience, and a story full of enthralling characters and themes, Metaphor: ReFantazio is one of - if not the best - games of 2024. Potentially, even beyond.
Persona veteran Atlus flexes its expertise with a fresh take on high fantasy. What it lacks in subtlety, it makes up for in grandeur and heart.

正直言うとトレーラーで政治（選挙）がメインのストーリーと分かった時に、（最近のゲーム界隈の流れもあって）政治をゲームに持ち出すとろくなことにならないのでは？という不安がありました。
しかし、ゲームを終えた後に思う事は「難しいテーマを見事にまとめきった傑作JRPG」だなと。
ストーリー以外で良かった点は素晴らしいデザインのキャラクターたち。レスポンスの良い戦闘。ハイカラなUI。
個人的に今年を代表するゲームだと思います。

It is a masterful symphony in the form of a JRPG and that with music that you still play daily after 80 hours of playing.
One of the best JRPGs in recent years. A compelling story, a well-crafted world, and a finely tuned combat system create an addictive experience that will keep you thinking both during and outside of battles.
Metaphor ReFantazio iterates on series like Persona and Shin Megami Tensei but strives to create something unique and can find its direction in gameplay and narrative. It's a refreshing experience for those familiar with Atlus' RPGs while also creating something accessible enough for those approaching them for the first time.
Metaphor has nothing to envy and establishes itself as a new IP with personality and clear ideas. It executes them throughout the game perfectly, even if the ending becomes a bit tedious due to the overwhelming amount of options regarding how we can spend our time in the game. The narrative is one of the game's strongest aspects, even outside of its genre, and the characters, with only a few exceptions, are all extremely detailed and well-developed.
Metaphor ReFantazio isn't a high flyer like Persona V, but with the unique Fantasy setting, the pleasant swift round-based combat and the deep Archetype system it's still a good RPG that's worth playing. Despite all the differences, especially for gamers who love JPRG series like Persona and Shin Megami Tensei.
「PROJECT Re-Fantasy」に増えさせた期待が満足できないが、確かに「メタファー」という、「ペルソナ」や「メガテン」と違う独特な作品が感じられる。僕自身三年以来最も楽しがったゲームだ。バトルシステムは変化が入れた、そしてストーリーも考えられる事が沢山。

The story is great but the dialogue can get repetitive, revolving around the same idea over and over again. Would have been better as a 60 hours game (rather than 80).
The final boss difficulty needs some balancing.

I played like 1h of the demo and the graphics are a bad joke. It literally started giving me a headache. This is a downgrade from P5.
Wouldn't buy this in this state. Ever. Let alone with that price tag.
