Zoë Kravitz makes a phenomenal debut as director with this heightened, gripping thriller.
By the end, a part of the experience makes one wonder what sharper point Kravitz is trying to make beyond the obvious ones — and it’s clear she wants to say something — while another part simply wants to lean into the audacious experiment she’s crafted. One where the film’s tart bite is remarkably thrilling, even if there’s some hollowness to its center.

Brilliantly written and perfectly cast. Fantastic directorial debut for Zoe Kravitz. Can not recommend enough, a must see.

Blink Twice is not about eating the rich or satirizing the one percent. It’s instead a stylish, if tonally uneven, exploration of how being in the orbit of powerful people can produce an insidious sense of powerlessness that easily curdles into self-deception.
Blink Twice is a stylish psychological thriller about sexism in the #MeToo era. While its plot may feel familiar, Zoë Kravitz's confident direction and Channing Tatum's surprising performance elevate the film above its occasionally on-the-nose script.
Blink Twice confirms that director Zoë Kravitz has an artful eye and ear: Her debut feature is full of creative compositions, heightened sound design, and clever editing. However, where she excels in creating atmosphere and mood, she falls very short as a screenwriter.
Woefully underwritten, Ackie does just enough with her frequent close-ups to grant the slightest impression there might be more under the surface of her starstruck exterior. It’s an uphill battle Ackie fights admirably.
Blink Twice sucker punches the audience with its sexual violence and then fails to find intelligence or dexterity in its handling of it or any of the themes running adjacent.
Pretty good ****, even if I didn't like some of the imagery. It was supposed to be shocking and the ending more than made up with it. Absolutely an original premise and it had some very clever writing. Performances were great across the board. This may sound petty, and I'm certainly not commenting on her acting (which was great), but Naomi Ackie felt completely out of place. Not sure how she got cast in this, (and again, no issue with her performance), but she was not very appealing. Sounds super shallow, and I feel ashamed to admit it, but I found her off-putting.

Blink Twice left me disappointed. The writing was weak and didn't engage me, making it hard to connect with the story. The actors' performances also felt flat, which made the characters seem less **** movie's concept had potential, but the execution fell short. The plot felt predictable, and the twists weren't surprising. The dialogue was often awkward and didn't sound natural, making it difficult to immerse myself in the movie.Overall, Blink Twice was a forgettable experience. It lacked the depth and excitement I look for in a film. If you're looking for a captivating movie with strong writing and acting, this one might not be for you.
