Director Lears and co-writer/editor Robin Blotnick had the benefit of knowing the outcomes when they put together the film, so it’s easy to understand why Ocasio-Cortez is the primary focus. But they do an excellent job of weaving in the stories of the three equally impressive candidates.
Knock Down the House has a clear political agenda. It wants to promote the hard work, courage and progressive policies of these women, who have all experienced financial hardship. Still, the film lets its subjects do the talking instead of cluttering things with statistics.

How sad that the User Rating is low bc so many MAGA Sheeple have chosen to spend time 1) registering for acct and 2) lying about seeing a movie. Liars, just like their Dear Leader (>24K documented lies in 4 yrs). Living in reality, please note that, contrary to all the lying reviewers, the film covers Democrat incumbents getting primaried so there’s very negative content about D incumbents. Amazing that in 2020 a film about US politics can make you so emotional at the end, assuming you watch it in good faith (ie, not a grievance-spewing angry white male).

Rachel Lears’ Knock Down the House is a fun, emotionally powerful, inspiring look at the incredible wave of would-be politicians that sought, in 2018, to challenge status quo Democrats and enact meaningful change.

Knock Down The House is far more effective when it is about the people and the process, not landing quips.
Knock Down the House prevails with albeit straight-forward intentions: to amplify the women who are both mad as hell and doing something about it.
Knock Down the House takes its viewers on the inside of a propulsive movement that’s changing by the moment, an energetic look inside history as its being made, even when the results aren’t always the ones that are so fervently hoped for.
The relentlessly one-sided emotional manipulation is grating.

Obviously this film is not for you if you lean heavily right-wing/conservative. Otherwise, though, it is certianly worth the watch, as this film is much less about Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's politics than it is about the newly-forming effort to give women and the working class a voice in the U.S. government. Don't trust the user reviews; the users who rated this film 0/10 likely have not seen it.

Knock Down the House provides some good information on AOC and some other women that ran for congress in 2018. It also provides a decent look at how they ran their campaigns. However, I feel like focusing on four women and only allowing an hour and a half for the final cut resulted in a film that left me wanting more. I wanted to see more of each campaign, I wanted to spend more time with each candidate, but the short runtime prevents that.

This is pure propaganda, plain and simple. This type of movie that just buries the truth and focuses in on the good thing is very dangerous and it shows that her actions in government are not help her popularity, so they have twisted this in a fantasy movie to make her look good.
