Well worth the wait. Building off of the massive success of The Stick of Truth, Fractured But Whole has an incredibly satisfying combat system that leaves you constantly eager for the next fight, exemplary and natural dialogue from everyone in town, and a truly epic soundtrack.
As a major South Park fan, I really loved it! Cool diversity of abilities, a lot of funny moments, unexpected story outcomes. They really smh made this game better than Stick of truth. Which was really hard. 10/10 can recommend!
This game is filled with fan-service, though the game does not offer the exact same depth we know from the series. Thankfully the videogame itself is a lot of fun and will keep you laughing for many hours.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole isn’t an even experience. Some moments are fun and pretty funny, but others feel pretty uninspired. Exploring the town of South Park isn’t as novel this time out, and it largely isn’t as funny. RPG systems like combat, looting and crafting are just involved enough to make them interesting, but the firm emphasis is on the story and humor of the show. With the plot taking a while to develop and with so many jokes just feeling played out, loose on their landings or easy and obvious, it’s tough to really get excited to head back down to South Park.
Some people are completely sure this second part is a worst game than the first one, but I'm not sure about that. There are so many (and more) things in Fractured But Whole that aren't in The Stick of Truth, that I actually can't decide which game is better. Both games are masterpieces from the show, and probably the best game ever made of any comedy TV show, by far. Nevertheless, if I have to choose between both games, I would certainly choose this second part, because we have story DLCs (with no trophies/achievements) that expanse even bigger the game. The Stick of Truth was great and amazing, and it's natural that many people loves it so much, but this second game complements the first game perfectly. As I said before, best game ever adapted from a comedy TV Show to a videogame. This is just like watching a regular episode and be part of it. A masterpiece both games.
It was suprisingly fun. Humor is south park on point which is the most important aspect, so its good to see that it does it well. I laughed a couple of times. Story wise is that, its just bizarre with an increrdibly more bizarre ending with the characters you know. Gameplay wise its good enough. Combat is fun and you have a decent amount of powers to choose from plus a lot of partners to choose too each with unique aspects. Its not the best one of all time of course but for what it is, it was surprisingly good.
Cant say too much more, its the best south park game and if you know a good deal about it then no doubt you will like it. If you arent so experienced with the show or plain dont know anything then i cant say i recomend it over any other similar games but you can give it a try.
I FINALLY beat this game today, and i can safely say that the last 3-4 hours were a 100% waste of time and didn't need to be in the game whatsoever. This game has the worst plot out of any game I've ever played by far, it's RARELY funny, and the story literally seems like it was written by 6 year olds. The Stick Of Truth absolutely blows this game out of the water. The character customization at later levels in this game is pretty much the only cool thing you with experience in Fractured But Whole.
