Returning director Chris Renaud, co-director of parts one and two, knows his way around the characters, and he knows what his audience wants: cartoon mayhem, mild naughtiness from the Minions, social awkwardness from Gru.
The plot can sometimes feel like a chaotic melange stretched too thin, but White, who wrote the Illumination avian charmer Migration, elevates the overall narrative by injecting doses of his perennial interest in the social codes of the rich. The Minions get a zany B plot that becomes one of the film’s strongest threads, and a strong voice cast keeps the film engaging and nimble.

Company tries to come up with an original idea challenge: impossible️
It's Franz Kafka meets Minions with a little bit of X-Men, in the movie nobody asked for.

Sure it repeats everything it did the last three times, but thanks to Steve Carell’s lovable grump of a Gru and those wild and crazy Minions, the random lunacy remains hard to resist.
Despicable Me 4 is co-written by Mike White (“Migration”) and has a bit more wit and heart — not to mention a few more laughs — than the recent entries in the “Despicable” series.
Despicable Me 4 is just messy and wearying, even at a scant 95 minutes.
It looks fantastic, Gru is still loveable, and smaller viewers will be engaged enough. But Despicable Me 4 stalls in its overstuffed plot and its lack of an interesting narrative.

Despicable Me 4 loses focus like a golden retriever in a Petco plushie aisle, splitting characters into bottled subplots that can only be addressed in single-file order.
Universal Begins the Milking Process for their films because they are unable to take risks with storytelling, characters, or anything for that matter.
This film Combines set pieces from the first film and the minion films in hopes that it would end up a **** it is far from it.
6/10. NOW FOR THE LOVE OF ANIMATION, UNIVERSAL CAN YOU GIVE A WORTHY MEGAMIND SEQUEL?!
Why? Because I'm sick of these lame attempts to please children with colours and not cater to the people who care and love watching animations.
What you thought I forgot about the whole Megamind movie and TV Show ****. I Want Megamind 2 and I want it now.
How does Despicable Me Get 4 Movies, and Megamind Can't even get a Sequel?
By the way, if some of you don't know, Dreamworks and Illumination are under the Universal Company, so Go Figure.
No Despicable movie in the future will ever be better than the first or 2nd film.
Review Over, I don't want these films any more.
What is the point of having great animation if the story the characters, the plot, and the entire purpose of the film don't cut you deep, don't make you feel anything?
Oh and by the way universal I can come up with a better story in like 5 minutes...anyone can.
