Flock is a delightful and gorgeous experience that absolutely delivered what I wanted in a new game from the Hohokum developers. It sounds amazing and is a relaxing experience almost all the way. It will not be for everyone, but Flock managed to hit every right note and I’m now working my way through it again on PS5 after playing it on Steam Deck.
Flock from developer Hollow Ponds is a unique, relaxing, and fun adventure that doesn’t require too much effort to enjoy. The game is slanted towards discovery and environmental positivity through simplistic controls that allow the player to focus on finding and identifying animals while traversing a large landscape. The only bump in the road is the occasional feeling of a lack of content.
Even free not worth it watch it on utube (disappointment players only care about graphic not gameplay mechanics anymore).
- 2 hours long.
-very very repetitive running around like brick simulator, not a game, expensive, very repetitive non exist gameplay and short game.
-only good charming graphic.
Bright, bold and absolutely bursting with vibrant colour and the kind of charming quirkiness that constantly teases a smile; this is truly a world of creature comforts. It doesn’t do a lot ‘new’, but what it does do, it does brilliantly. If you’re an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, you should absolutely add this one to your download queue.
Flock proved to be a game that creates the same warm and fuzzy feeling as putting on a jumper after a day out in the cold. It's a cosy, comfortable game that impresses with its visual style and soaring gameplay, but it's worth noting that the overall time you'll spend in Flock is a surprisingly short one, and without a real thread tying everything together as well, it can feel hollow at times.
Unfortunately, Flock is hard to recommend. The game design is repetitive and confusing, not leading players enough to where they're supposed to go or what they should be doing. There's a lot of beauty to be had with Flock, which will attract many, but don't expect a fun game behind its beautiful exterior. This is a game I wish I could have liked more but found myself scratching my head, even raising my voice for a few moments.
Annapurna Interactive's "Flock" is a quirky delight that kept me glued to my monitor for an entire afternoon. While its simplicity and repetitive gameplay can be a drawback, the game’s charm shines through its unique and whimsical world. The art style, though simple, adds a lot to its appeal. "Flock" is a testament to Annapurna’s knack for creating strangely captivating experiences that are hard to put down. If you can look past its simplicity, you'll find an oddly satisfying and fun game, with a unique artstyle and wonderful audio.
Summary Flock is a multiplayer co-op game about the joy of flight and collecting adorable flying creatures with your friends. Soar through beautiful landscapes, seeking out rare and elusive creatures to add to your flock.
