Overall, Riders Republic is a fantastic game and the most addictive extreme sports game on the market outside of maybe the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 remake. The variety of sports enables the experience to remain fresh, while those wanting a greater challenge can enjoy more events faster by stepping their game up and going for a more all-encompassing experience with more tricks and tougher difficulty. Cross-generation buyers will be in for a far better experience on the PS5 thanks to the SSD speeding things up and making for a much smoother experience, but the PS4 version is impressive given the tech. If it wasn’t for the SSD’s speed, the feeling of both versions’ races would be quite similar and you can’t go wrong with any version.
Riders Republic is at its core a fun game that only wants you to have fun, more than most games. Its UI isn't the best, and there still seem to be some bugs that need to be ironed out, but there are no issues that really break your fun along the way. On top of the gorgeous presentation, Riders Republic is easy to recommend for anyone with a liking towards a game where they can flip around three times on a pair of rocket ski's mid-air while dressed as a giraffe.
I registered here because of this game. It's really amazing. Guys we should be happy to have a game like this and appreciate it.
- graphics: beautiful
- vibe: the best part of the game
- tracks, sounds: 10/10
It's super smooth anytime when you go from one place to another or when you are changing tools, or racing with a lotta people at the same time, there is no loading time, perfect.
I'm in love with this game and I hope it becomes more popular because it deserves it.
If I had the opportunity to talk with the developers, I would tell them to put more sports in it like scooters, roller skates, boats or jet ski, **** funfair games...because anything can be put in this game like those sport tools I mentioned.
The only negative part is the shop is very expensive, so if you wanna buy some new ****'s really expensive.
But in overall 10/10
Focusing on having fun above all else, Riders Republic’s excellent open world, great disciplines and a huge amount of variation will keep you shredding snow and blasting through berms for a long time.
The focus on open-world gameplay was a blessing and a curse for Rider's Republic. It's still a good game, sure - but a little more focus of Ubisoft's side, and it could have become something truly special.
It's not the prettiest game, with distant scenery lacking detail, low-res cinematics, and screen tearing in busy areas. But the dizzying scale of the world, and the complete lack of loading times, is technically impressive. It's also worth noting that you need to be online to experience the career mode and progression—otherwise you're stuck with the freeform, rather empty Zen Mode. Most people play games online these days, but if you can't for whatever reason, your options will be limited. It's frustrating, because the actual riding in Riders Republic is heaps of fun. It's just been packaged in a completely off-putting way. You'll have to decide if the cringe is worth putting up with.
Such a wonderful game. A big world to explore, so packed with content and stuff to do. Was sceptic att first but now i love it, havent hade this fun with a game for years. The feeling of speed is great, and all the diffrent vehicles is so much fun. Dont listen to all People saying its cringe. The most relaxing and fun game i have.
Campaign is extremely tedious at the beginning. The game holds your hand and teleports you around the world forcing you to do specific events instead of letting you explore the world. I had to stop playing twice because I got annoyed by the whole thing. Other than that the game is okay. The controls are a bit weird to me but maybe that just takes some getting used to.
'Jack of all trades, master of nothing'. None of the sport styles feel exceptional. Controls are horrible. The music soundtrack is forgettable. Graphics are not impressive. The character models look like they were created back in 2005. The mandatory tutorial is mind numbingly boring.
The introductory characters are cringe, annoying, and fit every cliche trope you can think of. After one of the intro characters referred to another NPC as a 'Tripple OG' I almost quit right there. During an intro tutorial you are told to 'just puke if you have to' to make it to the finish line. Like Seriously! Talk about promoting unhealthy habits and self harm.
If you can push through the tutorial the controls will be your main obstacle as you take to the courses. Riding the bike feels like you're sliding on ice. Gameplay leaves little room for error. One minor mistake and you're sent flying off a cliff or face first into a mountain. Overall, a lackluster turd ****.
