Galaxy 2 is a genre defining piece of software and one that is, as the title suggests: out of this world.

Juego muy completo en todos sus aspectos, curva de dificultad acertada. La banda sonora es insuperable, diseño de niveles brutales, el multijugador local es mejorable, pero se disfruta igual. El juego invita a explorar sus galaxias, haciendo que el jugador se interese por las mecánicas del juego (que no son pocas), haciendo que este mejore en su habilidad. 10/10

It's confounding how this simple world can evoke feelings of curiosity, wonder, and dread all at once.
This isn't just the best Mario game on the Wii, it's arguably the best Mario game on any platform. A ton of fan service, served up with multiple slices of newly minted Mario gameplay take Galaxy 2 beyond a level that I think anyone could have expected.
If you loved Galaxy you'll adore this. Yet another dazzling high-water mark in Mario's career. [June 2010, p.75]
It is the truest sequel Nintendo has produced in over a decade.
Simultaneously more and less than its predecessor. It expands and elaborates on the gameplay in unpredictable ways, but the last one felt like a bigger, more complete adventure. That said, better core gameplay with less window dressing is infinitely preferable to the reverse.
Better than first one. Best 3D platformer of all time. Nothing more to say. PLAY THIS GAME, IT IS PEAK.

Not bad, but far, far from perfect. Around halfway or 2/3 through, the game gets a lot grindier than the previous half.

A disappointing sequel to one of the best games ever made. The comet amazing observatory is replaced by a boring and small Mario Head (literally...), the worlds are organised in a Super Mario Bros style instead of a sandbox, which is definitely not the best approach for a 3D Mario. Rosalina, one of my favorite characters from the Mario franchise, has been replaced by a fat, ugly, purple luma (at least I think it's a luma...). The boss fights are boring, which is a huge letdown compared to the first game. The only thing that has been added is Yoshi, but you can only use him for 5 levels and it's even that fun. And what's more you can't redo the game as Luigi, what's the point of unlocking him once you've already finished the game?
