Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven is an amazing remake from developer and publisher Square Enix. It takes an already beautiful classic and properly retools it with a modern look and gameplay backbone. While not everything is perfect, it still maintains its charm and the structure that made it memorable back in the day.
As with most SaGa games, Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven isn't for everyone but those who enjoy it will love it a lot. Spanning generations and a huge stand-out game world, it's one of the grandest RPGs ever made.
This is, without exaggeration, the game I was most absorbed in this year. I had so much fun that I forgot to eat or sleep. I think it's a masterpiece JRPG that combines the nostalgia of the 1990s with modern technology.
Amazing remake of a classic. I appreciate the fact they still made it accessible while still keeping it tough. Difficulty settings are great as this was one of the tougher RPJs and this remake allows you to switch difficulty on the fly. Graphics are decent, not going to look like the new Dragon Age but has more intricacies and RPG elements in it's pinky finger than the whole of the new Dragon Age. I've played on steam on PC didn't mean to put this under PS5 but either way, amazing game.
Every aspect of Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven is impressive and left me feeling satisfied that this game was given the lucky treatment to be put on a new platform. This remake meaningfully builds on the foundations of the original while bringing it in line with the rest of Square Enix's pantheon, while never losing sight of what made it shine in the first place. While it might not resonate with everybody, those who want to adventure beyond the standard turn-based fare will certainly not make a mistake with this game. There's an undeniable ambition here that is totally uncompromised and laid bare for all to see, and that's wonderful.
Romancing SaGa 2 boasts an expansive 3D world to explore, gorgeous character models and equipment, and compelling enemy designs. You can even choose between the original and a remastered orchestral score full of earworms from the glory days of the '90s. A remake of a classic JRPG many Western fans have missed, even three decades later, Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven's inventive mechanics make it a worthwhile experience.
The return of this classic game in a modern twist works out well. Although the missions are not always varied and the game has some difficulty spikes, the gameplay is still excellent. You can expect dozens of hours of gameplay, there are many different classes and the battles are extremely entertaining. All in all, a must have for fans of the genre.
Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven flees from the idea of the lone hero and puts us in the shoes of an entire dynasty focused on recovering the splendor of the empire. A very interesting point of view in which the role of the adventurer gives way to that of the many emperors and empresses who will open their way through the lands of the Varennes Empire. A somewhat simple fighting system is complemented by a lot of great ideas and surprising mechanics that make this remake unique.
Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven tries to be a remake but fails in so many areas. It is a product that is very close to the original, with hardly any significant changes beyond the new visuals. It has a dull story and forgettable characters. The gameplay is atypical and will not appeal to everyone, especially since it is random. Graphically, the game feels outdated with models that resemble plastic figures.
Amazing game!!! Graphic is so so, and story is simple, but Gameplay is 10/10. Music is also fantastic!! The ending is one of the best endings this year!
Ibeated the game and iIts not a bad game but its kinda lazy game, whan the game start the game choose which gender you want then the game start just like every others RPG but when you getto the game. You don't even get the play that characher, you play as "Leaon" the emperor in the past then time skip you just choose emperor to other emperor and on until to the end. Then finally the final emperor is the character you choose before the game start.
Every emperor you choose in the game look the same the only different is that their outline on their faces is different. Others then that the gameplay, musics, arts and the desgin are great. On the world map you can only fast travel.
There LP in the game which mean Life Point, everytime a characher die they lose 1 LP when that character lose all their LP they gone (permadeath)
As for side-quests there alot of quests to do but if you didn't do them all before time skip they gone. Last but not least at the beginning of the game every of your characters speak and talk in every cutsene, but once you reach the first time skip everyone went silent the emperor ands your party members for the whole entire game until the ending.
The last boss is too strong even on lower difficulty levels.
There are too many hard enemies.
There are not many techniques that can be learned at the same time.
Summary In this non-linear RPG, rule and expand the Empire of Varennes across multiple generations. Discover a vast array of story experiences as you fight the Seven Heroes in an epic battle that plays out over thousands of years.
